Datuk Dr. Elamaran Sabapathy is the founder and Executive Chairman of ECapital Strategos. He plays an active leadership role both in strategy and operations, including overseeing the Company’s transactions. To every Client situation, he brings his in-depth knowledge and experience in international business and deal structuring.
Datuk Dr. Elamaran Sabapathy also serves as the Group Executive Chairman of the Huat Hing Group, a diversified group involved in the sustainable timber industry, manufacturing, plantations, reforestation and property development. As the Groups’ Executive Chairman, his responsibilities encompass the macro management of the Group as well as the setting of the various key strategies. In the 12 years since his stewardship began, the Group has achieved exceptional growth and profitability figures. The social focus of the Huat Hing Group too has expanded during this period.
Datuk Dr. Elamaran is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), Australia, Fellow Member of Cost Accountant of India (ICWA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Australia. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (MCISI, UK) and an Accredited Certified Financial Planner (Financial Planning Standards Board, U.S.A.).
Besides a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Management from the Federation University Australia, Datuk Dr. Elamaran also holds a BBA (Distinction) majoring in Accounting & Finance. He has also been awarded a MBA from Federation University Australia, an Executive Master in Advance Management from HEC-University of Liege, Belgium. Datuk Dr. Elamaran was conferred a Ph.D in Business Administration (Distinguished Award Recipient) from the Bulacan State University in 2011.
Datuk Dr. Elamaran has been honoured numerous times for his vision, integrity and strong leadership. In recognition of his influential actions and distinguished contributions and services to the Government of Malaysia, international bodies, foundations and community at large, he has been conferred with several awards. Among them are Datukships from the rulers of Malaysia and the Knighthood conferred-by the Sovereign Order of Saint John.
